FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q:  Who do I need to speak to?
A:   Simply ring 01646 683630 and ask to speak to John.  If John is not available, Netty will take your call and John will get back to you, alternatively, leave a message and we will get back to you asap.
Alternatively you can email us and we will get back to you as soon as we are in the office.
Q: Are my possessions Insured?
A: Yes.  Moovitz have Goods In Transit insurance and Public Liability Insurance up to the amount of £1 Million pounds. Our insurance is held with AXA Insurance UK.  Please enquire about our insurance (which incurs an small charge) as your household insurance should cover your belongings.
Q: What vehicle will Moovitz use for my removal?
A: On contact, John will ask you for your address.  He will visit your home, on your request and at your convenience, to assess the items for removal.  He will then take the information and get back to you with a quote and his opinion of which vehicle you need.  Generally for local removals our smaller vehicle is more suitable, as several trips can be taken, and this means we can keep our quotes low.  Our vehicles include a Vauxhall Movano Hi Roof Long Wheel Base van and a Luton box van and the smaller the vehicle used, the less fuel, meaning more saving for our customers.  Sometimes, when its not convenient for you, we can provide a quote on information supplied by you instead of visiting your home.

Q: Are my goods protected whilst in transit?
A: We have Goods In Transit insurance on request and we also use removal blankets to protect your items in transit.  We have bubble wrap and boxes available at your request.

Q: How much do you charge for quotes?

A: Our quotes are completely free.  You are under no obligation to use our Company even if we visit you and provide a quote.  We do, however, suggest that you request at least 3 quotes for your removal from our firm and at least 2 others.  That way you can be sure that our quote is competitive and to your requirements.  We will try and beat any like for like quote in the area and provide you with the very best service.  We aim to provide you with your quote within 2 days of visiting you or taking the details over the telephone.  We can email your quotes to you or send them in the post.  We do not, however, insist that you use our Company and will never pressure you.  We respect that your decision is your own.

Q: Why do you ask so many questions?!

A:  Either John or Netty will have to ask a series of questions which are important in the factor of providing you with a quote and for providing you with the best possible service.  Often, an inventory of your goods would be asked for so that we know what we are moving and the size of the van required.  We may ask questions regarding access to your current property and to the property that you are moving to.  These, again, will help in the factor of providing you with the correct vehicle.  We may ask you about your heaviest item.  John and staff have successfully moved pianos and heavy items, but we need to know about your heaviest item to ascertain the staff requirement for your removal.  We may ask a lot of questions, but we promise, this will no doubt benefit you on removal day.

Q. Do Moovitz charge waiting fees

A: A waiting fee is a fee which can be applied due to delays in Moovitz completing the removal in a sensible timescale. Unforseen circumstances can happen and we are very understanding.  We will, however, charge a fee should our staff be unable to unload or load because of the error of the customer.  (ie. We are at the property and there is nobody there to take delivery). We are sympathetic and will be very understanding with the exchange of keys etc.  We ask that our customers provide us with the time they are likely to exchange contracts so that we can allow for this timing in the first instance.  .  Communication is the key and we can prevent charges that other Companies will apply unneccessarily.
